Job Title: Combo Sewer - Furniture Manufacturing

Department: Sewing

Location: Conover, NC

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM; Friday, 6:00 AM-11:00 AM

Employment Type: Full-Time

Symbiotic Services is seeking an experienced Combo Sewer for a furniture manufacturing opportunity in Conover, NC. This position works in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment and offers a consistent schedule of approximately 40-45 hours per week with no Saturdays. Overtime may be required based on production needs.

Position Summary

The Combo Sewer is responsible for sewing complete furniture covers, including flatwork, cushions, ottomans, and pillows. The ideal candidate has extensive industrial sewing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain quality and productivity standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements
Primary Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines to sew cushion and flatwork components according to production schedules.
• Work with complex fabrics while maintaining accuracy and high-quality workmanship.
• Read and understand production tickets, specifications, and related instructions.
• Meet established production efficiency and quality standards.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of Combo sewing experience required.
• Furniture or upholstery manufacturing experience preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge is a plus.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to work a full-time schedule.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, handle, and carry 25+ pounds.
• Ability to remain seated for extended periods while performing sewing duties.
